BARC 2022 Ice Race Is A GO!

I have some updated information regarding our ice race weekend.  As of today (January 18, 2022) , we are going ahead with the CASC Ice Race Season.  

The Town of Minden reversed their earlier decision to close the fairgrounds and are now going to allow the Kinsmen to build the track and for us to hold our race weekends. The Kinsmen were on the fairgrounds within hours of this decision working on the track.  

There will be rules in place to comply with the Provincial COVID guidelines.  The ice race organizers are in the process of finalizing these rules and I will send them out when they are done.

Our BARC Ice Race weekend is Feb 19 and 20.  I have booked rooms at the Motel Minden.  The Saturday night dinner I'm not sure about but I am hopeful that restrictions will be lifted, and we will be able to eat indoors.

Another development is that 2 clubs have decided not to participate in this season, so the Ice Race Director Brad Elkins and Larry Laycock are organizing one weekend under the CASC banner.
